The bleach skull and bones of elephants, was a common sight to him. The place where the giant beast come to die, often meaning a huge feast for them, if they could get here in time. The male walked through the graveyard, his eyes seem distant like in though as he looked foward, not checking his surroundings. Know the place quite well and pretty sure nothing will come to harm him, Tau made his way to one of the hollow elephant skulls.
Green eyes peered around inside, just to make sure it was vacant, before settling in. Why was he here one may ask instead of being with his pride, being the King's Advisor? Tau decided he needed to be alone for awhile. Being in a pride that is alway PMS-y wasn't fun at all. The large male gave a sigh and flopped down on his side. A huge sigh escaped him as he finally get to rest.,, Maybe...

Slythor quietly padded around the ghastly right. Elephant bones, everywhere. He had come here to see the other pride, but he had yet to meet anyone, despite his constant sniffing for other lions. This place smelled like hyena, and it kept him on edge as he trotted about. Finally, he came upon a fresh scent of lion. A male, hopefully that would mean no trouble for him. He tried to put on a tough, intimidating look, pulling it off quite well as he looked around to where the male would be. Maybe a call would work better.
"Hello? Who's there?" He spoke into the dusty air, tensing up and waiting for someone to pounce him. By the actions of the lioness he had met from this pride, they weren't very willing to talk before fighting.

His tail flicked lightly as he tried to doze off. But a unfamiliar scent woke him up. His eyes opened slowly as he picked his head up and rolled over on his stomach from his side position. It seem to be a nomadic male as he could easily pick out the new scent from the stale Hyena's. Was the male here to challenge for the land? That could be the only reason he was here in the Outlands.
The other passed the skull Tau was residing in as he began to call. It didn't seem like a challenge call. That was weird. The male watched him passed slightly from the skull, before picking himself up and silently walked out, facing the strangers back. "May I ask, why are you on Outland Territory?" Tau asked in a stern, cold voice. His tail flicked lazily behind him as he waited for the answer.

Slythor visibly jumped off the ground and whirled around when he heard a voice behind him. "I heard that two prides live here... I heard one of them resided here. I wanted to see for myself, maybe find some temporary shelter and food before I move on. Are you the King?" He asked cautiously, ready to turn and run if the other decided to get violent. He stared at the other curiously. The other didn't seem hurtful or angry like the others. He had no extended claws or exposed teeth.
He sat down, somewhat tired after the long walk of exploring this ghastly scene. He would've liked a nice, long nap.

The left ear flicked as Tau listen to the loner. The lion was not a threat, but still, he didn't let down his guard."I see... You're lucky that you happened upon my presence instead of one of the lionesses or the king, Teferi. That might have run you off once they cross your path..." Tau said, before giving a small yawn and continuing, "As stated before Teferi is the king here, I am his advisor, Tau." The male stated his rank and name as he hope the other would do the same soon.
Tau casually walked to the side of the stranger, before jumping on to one of the bleached spines that rest on the ground. "So you seek food and shelter? There is plenty of shelter here in the Outlands, but the food... Not so much." he continued to walk on the bones as it curved around only to stop as he faced the male, studying him from his perch. Nothing wasn't out of the ordinary except something around his neck. He looked at it silently for a few seconds and blinked away. "The food is scarce here as you see. We live in the Outlands. The driest place on this side of the Savannah. Not a single blade of grass will grow here and without that, no herds will come. Unless a foolish animal happens to come this way, we live off the termites and once and every couple of years, an elephant might just come here to breath its last breath. Hence the name Elephant Graveyard."
Tau told him and sighed. He did wish he was on the other side of the lands, no better yet, why can't the two prides just combine and none of the freud business will be going on. But he can't stop the kings even if he tried. "So, if you want shelter and food. You have to go see the king."

Malika, baby;] The young lioness stumbled into the elephant graveyard. What was an elephant graveyard? Well, it's stock full of elephant bones. It's cold, and very foggy in there. Hyenas love to jump out and scare the lions and lionesses. Malika, however, right now, did not care. The bleeding on her flank made by Vitani ached and throbbed. Her fur was ripped off, so you could see the spot very clearly. The cold made it worse, as it seeped into the wound. She growled low, but continued to pad on without limping. Limping, she figured, was weak. She did not want to be weak. Growling, her tail flicked, and her ears perked up. Was that voices she heard? Really? In the Outlands? Nodding, she crouched low, and slowly, but steadily, padded her way up to an elephant tusk. She bent low, and heard a familiar voice. This voice was made by her friend, and the King's best advisor, Tau.
Malika uncrouched, and leaped over the tusk. She landed beside Tau, and then let out a loud growl. The bleeding quickened for a few seconds, and then came out slowly. Those crimson eyes glared at the newcomer. Who dares trespass in the Outlands? A spy for the Pridelands? Growling, her right front paw stomped on the ground, and turned towards Tau.
"Who is this?! Tau, Teferi will kill you!" Snarling, she showed her large pearly whites. She wasn't afraid of showing off herself. In fact, she wasn't afraid of anybody, except secretly, Kiara. Why was she scared of her? Well, Kiara had pent up anger and she tackled Zira and killed her. Oh well. Malika crouched low, ready to sprang on the newcomer if he didn't answer her questions.

Slythor smiled softly at the kind male, Tau. "Thank you." He spoke contentedly, idly scratching at the collar at his neck. Without his knowledge, he was probably being tracked right now. Of course, to lions such a thing didn't matter. It was just a strange thing. When that angry lioness he recognized came over to snarl and be angry, ready to harm him, he took a few footsteps backwards, clearly afraid.
"Please, I wish no harm. I don't mean to intrude... I'm no spy, I wish your pride no harm. I just want some temporary shelter and maybe food if you are kind enough." He spoke, his voice rushed as he wanted to explain his presence before he couldn't talk at all. This lioness seemed very much the attack first, ask later type.

"So, this is where everyone went. I was almost one hundred percent sure you'd left me," Jasira meowed, playfully showing her teeth and rolling her bright blue eyes. Her hair stood up on her back. "I see somebody brought a new toy. Shall we call it plushy-kins? Or perhaps, killy-kins?" Jasira asked, growling at Slythor. She snarled.
"Tau, we're supposed to get him! Not make sweet conversation," She pointed out, confused. The loner was simply beautiful, but it's not like a tombo like Jas would say anthing. "You know, the little attack thingy Zira taught us before she died? Yeah. This is when we use it," Jasira said, strolling over to the strange male. "Explain yourself, intruder."

"Right, let see if we can find Teferi..." The lion said. But before he could jump back on the ground and make his way towards the exit of the graveyard, only for the Queen to appear. This wasn't good, for the other male at least. She didn't look so happy either as usual, in fact she seem worst. Malika was injured...
"He's just passing through Malika and he seems harmless enough..."The lion watching the male back up in fear from the growling lioness. He was much of a threat as an over-sized cub. "Now getting back to you Malika, you're injured. How did this happen?..." Tau gave the wound a small sniff as he waited to be answered. Before another one of the females appeared. Tau gave a sigh and shook his head. He didn't quite understand why the others wanted to fight every strange lion that they meet. Some might be quite useful when the time comes for it, but they don't think beyond that it seems...

Jas sniffed the male, learning everything about him in one whiff. " You know what? He can stay," she said, sensing that he meant no harm. Jasira sniffed him once more, just to be sure. She looked at Tau, bowed her head and walked out the graveyard. Her footsteps left prints in the ground. Usually, she was confident. Now she was...nothing.
Jasira noticed that the deep wound on Malika, but she passed it. I can't face him again. He's too...he knows, she thought, wanting to turn around and tend to her fellow lioness. Without looking away from a skeleton, Jas stopped walking. " Shall I go hunting by myself, or shall someone accompany me? Malika is obviously not in right kind of condition to be chasing the zebra tonight."

Slythor looked about, frightened as he was sniffed. Tau was kind enough to try and stand up for him, but the reaction of the other lionesses made him think that perhaps this pride was led by females, not males. It was different, but not unwelcome. Just new. As he seemed to be accepted by one of the lionesses, he relaxed slightly and sat down to scratch as his collar quietly, contemplating on if he should help.
Well, it would help him pay rent. "I-if it wouldn't be t-too much trouble... " He began, looking shy and flustered even as he spoke. "I-I'd like to help. I've been hunting on my own for a while, so I think I'm ok at it." He first began strongly, but then his voice faded away into nervousness and fear.

Jasira turned her head a little, just enough to see over her spotted shoulder. "I don't see why not. Malika's injured, and I can't do this by myself. Don't be afraid, and come on," Jas replied, staring at the ground. Slythor was frightened, she could see it in his eyes and could feel it in his presence.
Jasira blinked twice and sighed. She'd fufilled her want to intimidate the intruder, but perhaps she had taken it too far. "I'm Jas. You are?" the feline asked, still staring at the ground. Jas was one who liked to avoid eye-contact with others, especially those of whom she wasm't quite acqainted with. She swished her tail in a friendly way.
Jas felt as if she was blushing. I wonder if blush is visible through spots, she thought, remembering tht she was spotted, threfore different. "You coming, or what?"

Slythor brightened when he was given permission to hunt. He liked being useful. He didn't mind that this other lioness was strange. he was strange too. He had a collar and he wasn't like the other males, so it was understandable that he would be treated differently and now he's hutning with lionesses. He thought back to that lioness that had raised him long ago. She would laugh at his current actions. He shook his head and followed Jas happily.
"I'm Slythor. Thank you for letting me travel with you." He replied, his tail moving from side to side happily. He was quite happy hunting with this friendlier lioness, even though she was quite scary at first.

Jas nodded. "To the hunting grounds, then! " OOC: My post is short because I'm starting a thread in the hunting grounds.
