◊: After a stern session of cardio elevation, the young leo was famished. He couldn’t believe that he was up to par to run so much! His lungs scrunched and burned, it seemed that oxygen was completely absent. Though it wasn’t unusual for him, and the sensation had become a common thing. Briskly seating himself, Khaeru reposed, flicking his wiry fringe from his eyes. After a moment, the minute baron arched his back in a well deserved stretch, and set off towards the termite mound for some snacking.
◊: The biggest nuisance here was that, frankly, the meal bit back. But little Khay had a strategy for this; he would crush large amounts of them at a time and then slurp them all up in one line. Without further ado, he went ahead with his plot. He couldn’t understand why the damn termites couldn’t just accept their fate? If they didn’t want to be food, they shouldn’t have made their mound here! Nevertheless, they were incompetent enough to proceed residing here… hah! Idiots. But, they did have a decent reason not to notice this; technically, they didn’t even have brains! As far as he was concerned, termites weren’t worth a thing.

The bulky young cub seemed to be halfheartedly stalking a long line of termites across the ground, mumbling to himself quietly under his breath as he did so. However barely audible, one could make it out to sound like: "Kamau thinks she can just run off to do ridiculous things and leave me here to eat termites. How am I supposed to keep my head up in my plan if she doesn't help me and turns against me like that? Unless she becomes Queen. That would make things so much easier. Of course! Why didn't I think of that before..."
Between words and sentences drizzled in disdain, he would stab his claws into the termites, picking them out of their line one by one. Jaali didn't seem to be watching where he was going, and he ran headfirst into the other cub. Why does this always happen to him? Now he has to apologize. He looked the cub over, seeming judgemental for a moment, before he decided this kid looked alright and spoke. "... Sorry."

◊: The young leo was very much enjoying his snack. There were many bugs out today, and with the luck being presented, he might actually have been able to fill up! Grinning as he was preparing his next line of termite nibbles, he felt his core slip out of control momentarily. What was this? It was simply another cub, running into him. Did he not have eyes? Was he ignorant? Khaeru frowned as he realized the other youngling was atop of him, somewhat crushing his rear mitt. Nonetheless, Khay simply pushed the other away and hopped to height, raising his crani and banner. A sole lyric flooded into his auds, placing apology into the situation. Lucky cub, thought Khaeru, if not for that apology, he would actually be made sorry. ◊: A grin plastered atop his jowls, the pastel fleeced boy scanned the other. Concluding that his physique wasn’t moderately up to his shape, he decided to play the situation cool. He’d be nice this time; after all, the other cub was an outlander too. They shared the same lifestyle, so might as well make friends. ”Hey buddy, might wanna watch where y’er going next time huh?” His tone was slightly comical, and no hint of frustration was to be found. ”I’m Khaeru. What’s your name?” a playful expression was seen in his features. If the cub was smart, he’d return the attitude. Then, the two could be friends! Races and sparring, all good fun! Then he could really test just how fit this kit was.

Jaali wasn't threatened in the least. In fact, he was kind of happy to have company. Like his aunt Kamau, he was pretty amiable when it came to other lions. A friendly sparkle came into his orange slits of eyes and he grinned sheepishly. The look didn't really fit an oversized cub all that much. A play-growl escaped his maw before he spoke, and the resonance carried into his voice. "I don't need to watch out for you, you're just in my way! Keep your eyes open!"
He laughed, though briefly, and nodded his head. "I'm Jaali."
His mind was still in a haze from everything going on in his life, but he managed to overcome it for the moment. He saw a friend in the other cub.

◊: It was nice to see someone who wasn’t trying to suck up to him for once. Most others solemnly tried to back away, simply due to his bulging muscles and outsized frame. This one was actually challenging him, yet in a friendly manner. He could see it in his eyes, the other one felt similarly. His lyrics flew into the air with a thud, sarcasm enveloping them as they hovered. Khay’s playful grin never left his maw as his surveyors were locked on the other cubs. His jowls parted, revealing an ivory case of sheer needles that briskly vanished, covered by his pastel-like cadences. ”Well then, Jaali, maybe I don’t need to be nice to you, hm? Maybe then, I can just pounce on you all I want and you can’t do squat about it!” ◊:A gleeful laugh rose into the air, filling it with a joking atmosphere. His tone was not in the least serious, nor was it angry or threatening. He was blatantly and simply acting like a cub; just how he should be acting. Despite his maturity, he could tell the difference between a time for fun or a time for stern behavior. This was the perfect time to let loose a little, and potentially to form a friendship. Arching his spine inwards, the leo took a playful stance. He was ready to spring in any direction, whether it be a pounce or a dodge. He was prepared to play.

Slanted orange slits of eyes curved their edges to a smile, maw opening to release his laughter. He crouched low as he made a half-circle around the other cub, speaking in a playful growl. "Pounce on me? Nawh. I'll take you dooown!"
Jaali's tail flicked and flipped about in the air and he lowered his head to give Khaeru a 'glare'. The friendliness still graced his face somehow. His bent haunches straightened to fling himself toward the other cub, front legs straightening and ridiculously oversized paws stretching their digits, although there was no sign of threat since his claws were hidden deep within. Where he landed was dependent on Khay, but he was either going to end up sprawled over his new acquaintance or on top of a termite mound.
