Vitani Vitani silently stalked forward, keeping her eyes on the small wildebeest furthest from the herd. She stepped lightly, not making a sound as her paws touched the sand. All thoughts left her as she quickly ran forward, taking a running leap towards the young beast. However, she judged the distance a tail-length off and landed short of the potential prey. Hoping to catch it before it ran off, she sprinted towards it. It was too fast, catching up with the rest of the herd as they ran away from the lionness. Vitani spat, walking towards the waterhole to drink. The thoughts crowding her head were even preventing her from hunting right. Lapping up the water with her tongue, her mind wandered to the other day where she had met Nuka again. And how strangely he had acted after seeing Valerius. What happened then? What was that? She had no idea what happened after she ran off that day. Kovu had already left, and he seemed pretty mad, too. Sometimes her brother could be a pain in the tail. Why did he have to go and act all kingly to Nuka? He knew Nuka would have hated that! And Nuka was his brother! He should have at least been sympathetic instead of superior! Lashing her tail, she stomped over to a nearby rock and flopped down onto it. The sun felt warm on her fur, and she felt her eyelids drooping. Vitani yawned, exposing sharp teeth and a pink tongue and relaxed. This was pretty pathetic. She knew every family had rivalries, but this was ridiculous. She'd have to do something about it. When she found Kovu and Nuka, they'd be in big trouble.

Kovu, babyx] Kovu's paw-steps were silent was he steadily padded to the waterhole. Nuka. Nuka, Nuka, Nuka. Kovu didn't mean to threaten him, but he attacked Vitani. He loved his older sister than his brother, no doubt. His tail flicked in irritation. Who was he trying to be, anyway? Mother never approved of him. The only time she ever cared about him was when he "died". Apparently, he didn't. Kiara tried to save her, not Nuka. He ran off like a mouse, with his tail between his legs. Sighing, Kovu couldn't get his sister's disappointment face out of his mind. Also, Valerius weird act. It got him mad a bit, but hey, what could he do about it? Nothing. It was his son's choice, not his.
The king abruptly stopped. His ears went up, and twitched. Moving sounds? His emerald eyes scanned the savannah, and landed on Vitani at the waterhole. He instantly got tense. Of course she's going to yell at him, maybe even fight him physically. Sighing, he padded on again, feeling like a cub long ago. He watched her stomp away, all PMSing like, and flop down on a rock. Gently, he walked up to it, and stood beside her. Words of wisdom raced through his head, but what can he say? "Vitani... I'm sorry." His deep voice was soft, gentle, and he really meant his apology. But what would Vitani think of it? Would she tackle him like she would've when they were both cubs?

Vitani Vitani's ear flicked towards her brother's voice. She opened one eye and looked at Kovu. For a second, his mane and size vanished and she saw him for the cub he used to be; playful and careless, tail lashing to and fro in happiness. She sighed. Kovu was just doing what he thought was right. He never meant for any of this to happen; What did she expect him to do? She stood and rubbed against him, licking his ear, trying to comfort him. "It's okay, Kovu. I know it's not your fault."Vitani then stepped away and looked at him. Grinning, she lowered into a crouch and waved her tail curiously. She gave him a sideways smile and perked her ears and found herself asking the same question she asked so long ago. "Hey Kovu, wanna fight?"

Kovu, Kingx] Kovu watched her open her eyes at him. He wondered if she was truly disappointed in him, deep down. He wished he could be a cub again; no worries, only lectures after some adventure out in the savannah. However, when Vitani forgave him, he leaped up, happy. Once more, he was like his old cub self; playful, always there. He watched her step back and look at him. When she get in a crouch, he knew exactly what was going to happen, and he has been looking towards this for a while.
After the word "fight" out of his sister, he crouched low, also. His tail flicked, and he imagined himself smaller, not bigger. His muscles tensed up, and he growled playfully. With a quick leap, he tackled her, growling, practically laughing on top of her. If they stopped tumbling, he hoped to have pinned her, and if he did, he would look down at her with soft emerald eyes. Ah, his loving sister, how he loved her so.
