Laying, looking for prey (other than bugs),Fara was bored. It was almost dinner time, and her mother needed food. "What do I do?I sit.I eat.End of story!"she said putting a paw on her stomach. "Finally some excitement!"a voice said behind her. Lucky. No,you are!Zazu popped out of a nearby bush. Go home at once.Your mother wants you!he said simply.

Valerius decided to go out exploring the jungle. Why not? There wasn't much else to do, anyway. He didn't feel like going to the Outlands that day to look around, or like watching the lionesses hunt. Kovu was god-knows-where, probably out saving a cub or something heroic like that. Valerius was, obviously, in a pretty shitty mood.
He came upon a female lion with Zazu. She was probably a bit older than Valerius was, but he was bigger.
"I can handle this, Zazu. You can go.
He watched as Zazu made an annoyed face, but he obeyed, flying off back to the Pridelands. He had to obey Valerius, he was prince after all. So he wasn't going to be future king, he was still royalty.
Once Zazu was gone, he turned to the lioness. She looked familiar to him, he was sure he'd seen her. Since she was a Pridelander, of course they'd probably seen each other tons of times, but none of the lionesses names ever stuck in his mind. He didn't really care enough to bother remembering.
"What is your name, and what are you doing out here?" he asked, tying to sound mildly annoyed. In all reality, he wasn't annoyed, that was just the face he wanted to put on.

Valerius?No...it can't be...probably an outlander. Vifaranga made her self belive. She couldn't help wondering if she was in trouble.
My name is Vifaranga.I am only here to find food for my mother.I hope I'm not causing any trouble.
She wanted to just find food for her family. Will she be in trouble?

Valerius nodded, swishing his tail back and forth, feeling important. "Hm...I see. No, you're not causing any trouble at all.
He wondered what the lioness was doing out so far away from the Pridelands; plenty of prey could be found within their borders. There wasn't much to choose from out here, unless you had a taste of grubs and beetles. Maybe Vifaranga and her mother did have a taste for bugs, but he doubted it. And if she did, her job probably would have been quite a bit easier.
He looked around at the bright jungle plants; he'd never really been here before, only once or twice so he'd have his bearings if he ever had to come here. It was rather pretty, but it didn't have the same allure as the Pridelands...or the Outlands.
"Well...I supposed I could help you, if you'd like."
[/b] He didn't have anything better to do, and it could be fun stretching his hunting paws. He stretched, arching his back, then he stuck his nose in the air, inhaling deeply, trying to catch the scent of some kind of prey. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

Okay...
Vifaranga was starting to think this was Valerius.
The reason I hunt out here is that my mother wants me to practice. If I can't find anything to eat,mom tells me to look for movements in that lake over there.
She gestured to a nearby pool of water.
Mom must be [glow=red,2,300]Starving![/glow] She thought as the sun was halfway in the sky.

Hmm...she didn't exactly sound enthusiastic but Valerius didn't really care right now. She'd get over it, he quickly decided. He nodded at her answers, looking somewhat surprised at the mention of the pond. Of course he knew about fish, it was common sense. He'd just never seen any of the lionesses hunting them, and he had seen a lot of hunting lionesses in his short life in the Pridelands. He did make a point of watching them after all.
Valerius was a fan of learning, though, so he was open to this new technique.
"Hm..Kovu and the lionesses haven't even mentioned anything like that. How do you do that?"
[/b] He realized that Vifaranga might not know who he was, having probably only seen him a few times. He didn't even sleep around the lionesses, really, preferring to stay to the corners of the den not so close to the others. He decided to introduce himself. "I'm Valerius, by the way."[/b] he said, with a grin. That was pride. Even though sometimes he said he hated the Pridelands, feeling as if he didn't belong, he was actually proud to be where he was in life. Away from his horrible past, away from his horrible mother. He twitched slightly, a barely perceptible movement that only a very sharp and watchful eye would have caught. His mother. But that was all in the past. "I have to stop doing this. I have to let it go. What happened happened, it wasn't my fault." he thought to himself, trying not to show any sign of his feelings towards his old life.[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]

KIZKITZA was just strolling along. Chillin' like a villain hooked on penicillin, except she was definitely not a villain, and where are you going to find penicillin in the middle of the jungle? She found herself a nice little sun patch where the trees parted and sprawled out, perfectly safe in the haven of the middle lands. This is the place to be. Nobody's gonna prance up to me and ask who I am and why I'm here. She rolled onto her side and purred, dipping a claw into the water and watching it ripple and spiral out, marring her reflection. It looked like she'd found a friend in Rafiki - she had an odd fingerpainting of a sun on her back. Kindred spirits, they were both peaceful and pretty wise. In fact, the reason she was out in the jungle was most likely to find a plant to bring back to the shamanic mandrill. Green eyes locked onto the cubs down the way. Squinted. For whatever reason, Kitza couldn't remember whether or not they looked familiar. In any case, she sent them a smile as her tail kept nature's beat, swaying to and fro.

Valerius...why is he here? Fara started to feel weak. She hoped she wasn't shaking.
Well, the ripples are fish. Mom says they are reallygood. You lay your paw upside down and when a fish wriggles by,close in.
She felt nauseous teaching Valerius.
