Kibwe ventured into the Outlands as silently as possible. Her stride was careful and catious the entire time. Her ears laid back on her head and her golden eyes searched the den area. When no one showed up inside, Kibwe sat on her haunches for a few moments. "Alright Valerius, you can come inside now,"she whispered. All the while the female was observing her surroundings so that the both of them wouldn't get in trouble. Kibwe wrapped her tassled tail around her paws and waited for the Pridelander to catch up. They had to keep this moving quickly however, so she slightly fidgeted in her seat. This was really was a big risk that could cost the both of them their lives. The Lioness's heart beat quickly in her chest. "Okay just stay calm, we can do this..."Kibwe whispered to herself.

Valerius silently followed Kibwe into the den after she called him in. He was very twitchy and on alert; he felt extremely anxious in another pride's den, their private place to be, but he had asked for this. He'd wanted to see this.
He looked around the den. It didn't look freakishly dark and dreary. There were some bones scattered about from prey, but it wasn't anything like he'd heard it described as.
He wondered about the lionesses who lived here; what were they doing right now? Where were all of them? What were their lives like in the Outlands?
He wondered if any of them knew of his old pride, where he'd come from. It was unlikely but...it was possible.

The sandy colored Lioness prowled further and further into the den. She began to relax slightly, although her stride was still quite tense. "So this is the Outlands, excuse the mess,"Kibwe said plainly. A short smile etched her features as she showed him the depths of her pride, but it grew fainter with time. Anyone could show up momentarily, and that was what she didn't want. "Anything familiar to you?" she questioned with a head tilt. Kibwe jumped up on a ledge that was jutting out and looked around. She was very nimble on her paws, and she barely made a sound. Perhaps it wasn't so bad being a tour guide, Valerius wasn't finicky about their location, and for that she was grateful.

Valerius followed Kibwe's example, and jumped up onto an overhanging rock ledge, quietly. Valerius, too, was very quick and silent on his feet.
He looked out from the new height, which allowed him to get a better view, and also to see the entrance in case anybody happened to walk in.
He just smiled when she mentioned the 'mess'. This was barely a mess, compared to other places he'd seen. No, this was just fine.
As the time passed, he felt himself and saw Kibwe getting more tense; the longer they stuck around the greater chance someone would catch them.
"Should we keep moving? Staying here too long might not be a good idea...

"I think you're right," Kibwe said, nodded shortly, and then continued to move onward. She didn't go too fast though, because she didn't want to get too far ahead. The Lioness pointed out some random objects as she went along. She knew that they probably weren't the most spectacular things in the world, but the sandy female didn't care much. She liked where the pride lived and wasn't going to change her mind. Kibwe padded through the Outlands, all the while listening for others of the pride though.

Bakari, Young Prince The young prince was in in the rock shadow, silently sleeping. No snoring or any of the such was heard, as he was a light sleeper. What dream was he having? Well, of course, him being the new brave king, and not the "cute" furball the rest of the lionesses called him. His body, in reaction to the dream, twitched at the thought of being the "cute" furball. Cute? I'm not cute. I'm big and tough and brave, just like Kov-- Teferi. Why did he dream of Kovu? His father always told him that Kovu was the traitor, and that he deserved to die. Bakari always agreed, but somehow, he thought that Kovu was brave, brave enough to leave for Kiara. The young one never admitted this, though, as he was scared of his mother's reaction. The dream went on, where he was the big, brave king, and his lionesses roaring under him. He also dreamt of having a lioness beside him, and this "love" feeling inside. He never knew of "love." Not because he was too young, a mere one year old, but he just never saw it here in the Outlands. "Love" was never worthy enough, he figured. Still, he wanted to know this "love." The little male lion was awoken by a rather loud thump by a rock. He was careful, and slow, when he opened his eyes from the shadow. There was a rock above him, much like the PrideRock in the Pridelands, so it gave him good cover. Those pink hues watched as a fellow lioness, Kibwe, and he got relaxed. He thought it was some other lion or lioness. However, his thought came true. Behind her was a young male, a Pridelander. The young prince slowly, steadily stood up, making sure not to make a sound. Then, he crouched on his hind legs. With a furious snarl, he leapt, and slammed into the male. With using his entire strength, he pinned him down, and spat in his face. Without turning to Kibwe, he yelled, "KIBWE! You know you're not supposed to bring Pridelanders here! I should let father kill you!" Growling, his pink eyes glared down at the male, and those scars going down his left eye seem to bulge. "Who are you?" asked the young prince, spitting those words in his ugly face.

Valerius had just begun to follow after Kibwe and leave the den when the young lion caught them. He hadn't seen him, but it wasn't hard to guess who he was. His father...the only possibility was that he was Teferi's son; that was just as bad as being caught by Teferi himself.
The first thing Valerius noticed was the scars on his eye, reminding him of Kovu's. He then noticed the fact that he was pinned down. He hadn't learned much about fighting; in the past he'd gotten by through pure attitude and adrenaline. This lion was younger then he was, only by a bit, but he was incredibly strong for his age. Maybe after introducing himself, the lion would let him go. He didn't feel like fighting.
At the thought of Kibwe being killed, he flinched, and he was filled with anger and guilt. If Kibwe was hurt, or worse, because of him, he would feel incredibly guilty about it. It would be his fault; in his younger years he'd learned to detach from emotions quite easily, but being in the Pridelands had softened him a bit. He wasn't sure he'd be able to.
"I'm Valerius. Adopted son of Kovu, barely. And yes, I am a Pridelander, though I wasn't born in the Pridelands." he answered, doing his best to stay calm. "And don't blame Kibwe for this. If you're having your father kill anyone, let him take a shot at me.
He highly doubted that would discourage who he assumed was the prince. He'd been trained by his parents, and from what he'd heard they were tough and merciless, and he didn't believe that those 'rumors' were untrue. If that didn't work, he'd make up a lie. What else could he do? He'd fight, of course, if he had to but he had no desire to.

When she heard the voice of Bakari, Kibwe definately jumped out of her skin. Her fur stood on end and her claws involuntarily unsheathed. The Lioness known as Kibwe growled deeply in her throat and her ivory white teeth show. She wasn't going to take this from some young lion that wasn't much bigger than a cub. She had heard the comments of the other Lionesses. Nothing about him was "cute" to her, especially in this situation. But one thing that she was grateful for was that the King or Queen hadn't shown up yet. She would deal with this first, and then if she was punished, she would take what was dealt to her.
"I know that we aren't supposed to let Pridelanders in the Outlands. And there is no way your father is going to kill me! I suggest you let Valerius go before I make you!" Kibwe snarled at the Prince. Her eyes blazed like fire and her tone was fierce. This female never backed down from a challenge, and she was an experienced fighter. It seemed that the Pridelander had her back, and so she wasn't going to let him down. She had his too. Also, she knew that Bakari wasn't stupid. In face of both herself and Valerius, he should back down. Otherwise, he would have consequences of his own to face. Kibwe stood tense, just waiting for a fight to erupt.

Bakari, Young Prince Snarling, his claws extracted slightly, and his anger was getting the best of him. What would Teferi think? Would his father kill the cub? Sure, he would, but something deep down in the young prince wouldn't do such a thing. The feeling of killing was... he didn't know. The fur bristled on his back, and he considered what he would do. He wasn't stupid. Kibwe could easily knock him out, to defend this Pridelander, since she was much bigger than him. If she did, though, she'd be beaten, or possibly killed. Bakari didn't like this thought either. She was loyal to the pride, even though she's quite a bitch to him. If he did let go, would he be judged as a coward, a traitor? Shaking his head, he retracted his claws. If anything, he'd quickly get his mother to deal with Kibwe and this little... nuisance. With a sigh, he stepped off of the male, realizing his claws dug in his skin a bit. Those pink orbs flared with annoyance. The annoyance was basically because he was only a year old, and this pissed him off. He wanted to be bigger, then maybe, he would've took on the lioness.
The little one stared up at Kibwe, and growled lowly. Malika would deal with her later, he predicted. Surely, mother wouldn't let this slide. She was protecting a Pridelander, and that is strictly forbidden. If the prince could, he'd dispose of her, but he was still smaller than her. With a dominant, not submissive, tail flick, he sat down in front of the male. Those pink hues glanced at Kibwe. "You think he won't kill you? Ha! Mother would probably kill you first." He let a moment pass before continuing on, "What side are you on, anyway?" With that said, his eyesight returned to the male, asking him the same question. Who was this male, and why was he here? Did he want to be a Pridelander? All of these questions raced through his head, and he tried desperately to ignore them, to try to be brave.

Valerius jumped to his paws, happy to be let go without a fight, but still angry at the prince's threats to Kibwe. He wasn't sure if his staying would make things better or worse.
He glanced around, trying to gather his thoughts, trying to get an idea. He had an idea, but he wasn't sure if it would work or not, and he could get in as much trouble as Kibwe would for taking him to the Pridelands.
He had to try though. Anything to get Kibwe out of trouble. If he pissed Kovu off in the process...well, it was a chance he was willing to take right now.
Okay, Prince, how about this? I show you around the Pridelands. Wherever you wanna go, you'll go. But you have to drop everything against Kibwe. Teferi and Malika, and all the other Outlanders, and the Pridelanders, do not hear a word of this. Does that appeal to you? He hoped this would work and he hoped this would get Kibwe out of trouble. If Kovu caught them, he could deal with it.

Kibwe wasn't threatned whatsoever by the younger Lion. She would stand and fight if the need came to it. But then Valerius helped her out and offered to show Bakari around the Pridelands. Her golden eyes gave him an 'are you sure about this?' look, though she stayed silent for the time being. The Lioness would accept the consequences that came to her, but she didn't want to drag Valerius into this as well. Well, she supposed that it might turn out okay in the end, if this little bugger of a Lion would accept the offer. Kibwe hoped and prayed that he would. Otherwise they both could be turned into mincemeat. That wasn't a pleasant thought at all. The Lioness layed her ears back on her head, giving a sort of innocent look, but didn't know if it would work. All they could do is wait and see.

Bakari, YoungPrince. The prince, sitting on his rump, was switching his attention back and forth between the traitor lioness and the Pridelander. Did the male just offer a tour of the Pridelands? How could he resist something like that? He wanted to go, but his father and mother popped in his head. What would they think? Would they allow him? Probably, just to kill the princess. The rumor spread that Kovu had a daughter, and was too weak to produce a son. This made him chuckle, but maybe, he'd get to know her. Follow the old plan, right? His two front paws stomped a bit, and his ears perked up. His eyes shifted towards Kibwe. She was tyring to protect Valerius, which was fine. Karma will bite her on the tail.
"Yeah, alright. Wherever I wanna go." Sure, Bakari was younger than the male before him, but hey? He's gotta take this chance, for his pride. [[ OOC: Sorry for the lame post. D: ]]

Teferi Loud paw steps could be heard, as Teferi the king of the outlands stepped in the den. He'd just ate most of what the lioness caught, but he was the King so he was allowed. He planned on taking a nice long nap, but seen people in the den, Kibwe a member of his pride, his son Bakari, and a PRIDELANDER? Teferi had seen this young cub walking around with that traitor Kovu. He walked over to them, and sat down. The sun only light half of his face well, the side with the scar was on the darker side, and it held a sort of glow to it, making the lion look all that more intimating. He looked at the young pridelander cub. " Tell me, why are you so far from the pride land boarders? I don't like young pridelander cubs coming over here for a tour......It angers me deeply" He said with a growl.

"Thank god they're okay with getting a tour...this might save all our butts.." Valerius thought, walking towards to entrance to the den. He'd just show them around a bit, show them Priderock and the Waterhole and the hunting lands..maybe let them take some meat to bring home with them. It'd be all be great. Valerius bristled at the voice of Teferi, and then shivered slightly. He looked terrifying...the scar on his face, his large figure...but Valerius's 'father' was huge too, and Valerius himself had many scars. He knew appearances meant nothing and that he couldn't let the large lion intimidate him. He had no idea how he'd talk himself out of this mess. He could run, but that would leave Kibwe to clean up the mess. And the prince...he'd probably blame Kibwe completely and act innocent. He doubted that offering a tour would change anything...but he could attempt. Throwing in a few lies might not hurt, either. "My name is Valerius, and yes, I'm a Pridelander, though the Pridelands are not a home to me. I hate them. he lied, hoping it'd save them. So I came here, exploring. They caught me, of course, as did you. So in return for my...stupidity..I'm offering a tour of the Pridelands. I'll show you the dens, the watering hole, and even allow you to hunt on our land today. He said smoothly, hoping Teferi would believe him, and take his offer. He had to. If not, there was nothing he could do, and he'd have to bolt.
