Ardhi's paws touched bottom, and slowly she emerged from the river to stand dripping on the bank. While it was not as deep as it would have been in the rainy season, neither was the river drying up. She shook herself, sending water scattering everywhere. The dark lioness sat in the dusty grass and groomed the remaining water from her fur.
Her ears swiveled, and she stood and turned, dropping into a crouch. Well, time to see who's territory she was on this time.

Malika, baby;] The young Queen of the Outlands walked with a slight limp, as the wound on her flank that was created by Vitani was not yet healed. Growling, Malika woke up cranky, and wanted peace. This means away from all the termites called lionesses in the Outlands. Those crimson blood hues scanned the Great River, seeing if any beast was present. When she didn't, she slumped under a tree, and her back paws was repeatedly being washed by the water. Her front paws was out in front of her, and her head was laid upon them. She wanted peace, and she wanted the slight annoying pain in her flank to go away. Quickly.
However, her wish was short-lived. Her ears perked up, and heard the slight rustling of a creature. Yawning, she ignored it. Whatever it was wouldn't stand up to her. She had muscles like a male lion and an attitude like a female. She was fierce, and would stand her ground even with a deep wound like she has. Growling, with her eyes closed, she waited until the beast, mouse, meerkat, whatever it was to come out.

Ardhi
Nothing emerged from the long grass, and Ardhi rose to her paws cautiously, deciding to go investigate. With a twitch of her tail, she set off at a sauntering pace down the riverbank. She traveled only a short distance over a rise to see a dark grey lioness stretched out on the bank in a hollow. Truth be told, she blended in with the grayness of this land. Ardhi twitched her whiskers in a movement equal to a smirk on a human face.
“Looks like someone ran into trouble.” She sat down where she was on the rise, appraising the lioness. Big and muscled, with a light in her eyes that spoke of a temper, often unleashed.
The truth is when You hear your heart asking 'What's my motivation?'

Malika, baby;] Those delicate ears twitched again, and this time, her eyes opened. Those eyes were a crimson blood red, and they were showing a rising temper, but a sense of peace. Growling, her tail flicked, and she aimed her eyesight towards the riverbank, where she watched the fishes jumped from out of the water, back down, like a dolphin. She wondered where that beast was that made a noise? Malika shrugged the thought off. Who cares? She knew it wasn't a Pridelander, because it would've popped out already. Besides, she wasn't in the mood to fight, because of her wound. However, it was healing rather quickly, as the blood flow ceased a bit.
Those back paws of hers splashed in the water, and the temper was slowly releasing from her. Those eyes came into some sort of calmness and peace, and it's rare that they would do such a thing. The soothing sound of the river seeped into her ears, and it blocked out all of the other sounds besides such. It relaxed her greatly, and she closed her eyes once more, with a slight smirk upon her face.
Peace at last..., she thought.
