GOES BY: N/A
OTHER NICKNAMES:N/A
GENDER: Female
AGE: 2 years
BIRTHDAY: May 24
PACK: Prideland
SPECIES: Lioness
RELIGIOUS BELIEFS: Nyarai currently believes that Mufasa and Simba had the right idea on how the pride should be run, and looks up to them as sort of role models for herself as well.
SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Straight.
STATUS: Single
OCCUPATION: Hunter
LIVING SITUATION: N/A
HAIR: Nyarai’s hair is a light tan-orange color over most of her body. Being new to hunting, her fur has not yet gotten the chance to be messed up and is rather soft and short. Her underbelly fur is a light crème color, as well as the tip of her paws. The crème fur goes all the way up to the bottom of her nose. The tip of her tail has a nice light brown color tuft of fur.
EYES: Nyarai’s eyes are a goldenrod color, a nice mixture of brown and yellow. They relatively large, giving her a look of innocence and youth even though she has grown old enough to begin hunting.
HEIGHT: 6 ft 11 in. (body to tip of tail) and 3 ft. 6 in. (shoulder height)
WEIGHT: 264 lbs.
OVERALL APPEARANCE:
Overall Nyarai is not a very intimidating lioness even though she is now fully grown. She is on the smaller side of the scale of size and weight for her species, giving her a slim and sleek appearance. Obviously she has muscles, but they are delicate and thin enough she doesn’t have the chance to really show any of them off. Her tail is a little bit on the short side as well, though the tuft of hair at the end is about average size. Overall, she physically looks like the young newly grown lioness she truly is.
Coloring wise, Nyarai is in line with the rest of her pride. She has the light tan-orange colored fur that is common in the Pridelander’s pride, with her stomach being a crème colored underbelly and paw fur. Her eyes are goldenrod, and add to the youthful look that her small physique adds to. Usually she has them looking towards the ground as she’s a very timid lion.
In fact, in general her body is usually rather tense, always ready to flee and jump should the need arise. Her head tends to hang low, and she usually walks with a generally slow pace, hanging out in the back of the pack. Overall, she doesn’t really stand out that much among the pride.

OVERALL PERSONALITY:
Nyarai does not have, to pardon the pun, the ‘heart of a lion.’ She is a very timid and frightful lioness. She is quick to scare and run, which at least as given her the ability to be a fast (if short-term) runner. When she’s around others she is very jumpy, and is probably working on an escape plan as well. Her body is usually rather tense, which does have the advantage of giving her a good reaction time. However, it also makes Nyarai seem tense and wound up, making it hard for her to be able to talk to others.
The tenseness scaring others off, however, doesn’t bother Nyarai at all. In fact, she enjoys it because at least she doesn’t have to talk to the other lions that much. Nyarai is shy to a fault, and is very slow to open up and talk to a person. When she is talking to someone, she’s very quiet and ultra polite, with awkward pauses filling the conversation at various points. Her paws are usually pawing at the ground awkwardly, as she really doesn’t know what to do with them as she’s talking. Furthermore, her head is usually looking down at the ground as she’s too scared to make eye contact with the person she is talking to.
A large part of her personality, however, has come only relatively recently. As a younger cub she was much more adventurous, but tragic events severely scared her psyche. Afterwards she was much more clumsier and awkward acting, which continued her slide into her current personality. The tenseness, the timidity, the shyness, all of it derives from issues of self-confidence that has existed since her time as a young cub. Even today she has issues believing herself, and while she has gotten better at it, at times she needs encouragement from others to pull of larger activities such as hunting, a time that is coming soon for her.
FAMILY:
Father/4 Years/? (what would the other males do?)
Mother/4 Years/Hunter
HISTORY: Nyarai was born into the Pridelander pride, and from an early age she looked up to Simba as an idol. Through his stories she also came to hold Mufasa as an idol as well, and began to act what she thought they would have acted like. Believing herself ‘brave’ she enjoyed going on random adventures around the Pridelands. At first they began as rather simple trips to the Water Hole and overall non-dangerous stunts. As she grew older, however, she became a lot bolder with her ideas, and began to stray further and further from the safer regions of the Pridelands. Her parents had an idea of what she was doing but, lacking their own Pumba and Timon, had to trust in her to be safe.
Events came to a head when she stumbled into the Elephant Graveyard. She had heard that long ago Simba had treaded there, and so she decided to see the place for herself. In the end, she suffered the same fate that Simba had; hyenas. The only bright spot was she only ran into one, and since she was not within the massive field of bones she was able to make a run for cover. While she was able to successfully hide from the hyena, it shattered her nerves to hide in an elephant skull, listening to the sound of a hyena searching for her. When the coast was clear, she ran off straight for Pride Rock, and never wanted to leave again.
She never informed her parents of the event, instead keeping it to herself. However, her behavior made a drastic change. Her ‘courage’ was broken by the fear of the hyena, and to this day it haunts her dreams. Wanting to feel safe and secure, she stayed close to Pride Rock, always making sure that there was someone who knew where she was at all times. While her parents were glad she was being more cautious, they were disturbed by her sudden change. She was frightened easier, her pouncing and ‘hunting’ (which was simply tracking bugs for training) was off, and it didn’t look as if it was going to get any better.
Over a year later she has grown, and is on the verge of her first true hunt. Her nerves have slowly returned, but Nyarai is still frightened easily. Confidence is still an issue she has, though her parents have been trying to prop her up and support her. She is very nervous of this important event in a lioness’s life, and greatly hopes she will be able to overcome her weaknesses and become a successful and productive member of the pride.
