Kamau lied lazily on her back in the curve of a former hulking pachydermic beast's ribcage, stretching her legs and staring with resentment in her eyes toward the Pridelands. The moon reflected from her icy eyes - they soon became a little less harsh as they wandered up toward the stars. Hyena Girl stared - she stared intently at all of the constellations, at the moon and the emptiness between the light. In that empty void in the sky lay the outline of the reason of the empty void in her heart. Did her eyes deceive her? Nope. That was the outline of her mother up there between all of those glistening stars, she was sure of it. Her lips curled into a snarl as her head whipped back and her eyes again locked fiercly on the Pridelands.
"What I wouldn't give to go slaughter all of those goody-two-shoes lionesses and that traitor Kovu, right now." Her nostrils flared - and just to wreck the moment, she fell clumsily out of the ribcage and onto the dirt, where she sunk down, flattened herself onto her stomach and began to stalk a bug.

Bakari, Prince. The young prince strolled around the Elephant Graveyard, wondering what to do. In the far distance, he could see the mere outline of the Pridelands. Inside, he wanted to explore the forbidden lands. He wanted his paws to touch the grass, and suddenly, he resented himself. "Father taught me better. What am I thinking?" Growling to himself, feeling guilty, he stalked towards a leg bone from an elephant. [Obviously.] Lazily, he slumped down on it, thinking about everything. If father actually proud of him? Of course he is... right?" Sighing, he closed his eyes for a few seconds, wondering if he really is prince. Prince of these toasty lands. His ears twitched, and his hues snapped open. His scars that raged down his eye seemed to throb with anticipation. He heard something. Maybe it was a Pridelander; he could show Mother how good he is at his training. How much he learned. Swiftly, he jumped up, and stalked towards the noise. He had to climb over the heavy, large limb to peer at what was in front of him. He grew disappointed when it was just Kamau. Growling low to himself, he stood up and padded towards her. The cub watched her stalk a bug, and he sat down. Those hues waited for a few moments, wondering when she was going to pounce. Just do it... c'mon... It's not that hard. The male cocked his head to the side a bit, and he said in a soft, low voice, "Hey, Kamau. What you doin' out here?" His voice kind of resembled Simba's, but a little deeper. It was filled with curiosity and wonder, just like any pup's. He wasn't different; it's just that the lionesses found him "cute". Not "brave" or "strong." Friggin "cute."

Kamau impaled the poor little bug on her claw and ate it like caviar, rolling onto her side, but going alert when she heard someone coming. The icy blues were narrowed for a moment and then she saw the prince; those narrowed eyes opened and smiled. She held out a paw to him as if for a high five. "Oh, hey little prince." Glancing around, she then chilled out a bit again. "I'm waiting for something to happen around here."
She thought for a moment. Daydreams filled her head momentarily, of her swiping paws knocking out all of the little tiny Pridelanders; impaling them all on her claws just like that bug. Kamau glanced slightly toward the dark outline of the Pridelands and wrinkled her nose in disgust. Perhaps jealousy.

Bakari, Prince. Blinking his eyes for a few moments, he smirked a bit and gave her a paw-five. Chuckling, he stood up and pranced over a tiny limb, perhaps a toe bone. "Me too." His gaze followed hers towards the Pridelands, and a growl rumbled in his throat. "Why don't we go check it out?" Chuckling, his tail flicked back and forth. "C'mon Kamau! Father would be happy if we killed a Pridelander or something. Maybe Kovu's daughter Riora or his son Valerius." He pawed at the toe bone, showing what he meant. His anger build up, but he was too excited to notice.

The lioness' maw curled into a smirk and she almost immediately got up onto her paws. Her ears flicked, the eyes glinted mischeviously, and she spoke with her smirk widening into a grin. "Let's go! I bet they'll be asleep, too. It'll be so easy." Kamau had a feel of childish glee about her, just thinking about all the blood and the guts and the chaos. Yaaaay!
She set her sights on the great rock and then glanced back at Bakari. "Think of how proud everyone will be!" And how good it'll feel. Kamau's icy blues smiled rather pleasantly at her thoughts.

Bakari, Prince. The young prince watched Kamau, realizing that even though, in width and height, she is bigger than him, but his muscles somewhat bulged. Growling in anticipation, he leapt onto a high elephant leg bone, and his head perked up. His hues peered over at the Pridelands once more. "Exactly. Which cub do you wanna steal?" His hues gleamed under the moon, as he peered over to her. His tail was flicking, and his paws stomped on the limb. "Everyone will claim us heroes. Maybe even legends." Maybe I'll become King out there. A smirk twitched itself on his face as he leapt off of the leg limb. Sure, he wanted to hold the Outlands, but he wanted the Pridelands too. "Should we get some others to come along, Kamau?"

Kamau let a low growl slip from her lips as they curled for a moment, into a mix of a snarl and a smile. "Let's take the favourite, the princess." She thought for a second and climbed back into the ribcage she'd been lounging in, thinking for a moment. "Maybe we should go alone; we'll have less of a risk of being caught. Or we could have some others follow along and wait, to get our backs. What do you think?"
Finally! I can take that little brat's head in my paws and squeeze and squeeze and squeeze and... POP! The lioness giggled to herself, picturing the look of terror on all of those Pridelander's faces if only she could squeeze Riora's head to the point of explosion like a grape or a spider. Nobody would even want to step to her after that, right? And even if they did, her mother must be avenged. The Pridelanders would pay for all of those years of turmoil in her heart in blood.

Bakari, Prince. Bakari laughed a bit, his laughter sounding just like.... Kovu's. Kovu's menacing laugh from Simba's dream. He stopped a bit, and shook his head. His smirk returned, and he shrugged off that laugh. "YEAH! Let's get her and kill her." Laughing a bit, he slid under Kamau in under excitement. "You're right." Nodding his head, his eyes gleamed towards the Pridelands. The prince bounded off the limbs of the elephant and started to sprint towards the Pridelands. However, he stopped after a few feet, and turned his head towards the lioness. "Kamau, you get Riora and I get Valerius. That way, there won't be a king when Kovu dies." The prince blinked a few times, realizing he didn't know what the princess Riora looked like, only the prince Valerius. Oh well. Valerius would regret walking into my father's lands... The cub held a grudge against him, and he was determined to fulfill what he has to do.
