Nuka sat, contempating with himself whether to--or not to, confront his sister. "I faked my own death. Nobody knows who I am," he thought, rubbing his bloodshot eyes with a grey paw. He had stayed in the Jungle, with Timon and Pumbaa, and he had decided to return to the other lions, and Vitani.
"I can see Pride Rock. I--I should wait," Nuka thought, and he sat. Nuka had ridden himself of fleas and termites in the jungle, and now he sat. Nuka was hungry, hungry for meat, hungry for his sister. "Where is she? Don't they go hunting now?" he thought, confused as well as tired.
Nuka scratched his ear. Already, the termites were returning. "Her reaction will be priceless! Priceless, I tell you!"

Vitani Vitani trotted across the plains, scanning the Pridelands for any sign of prey. All that met her eyes were shriveled plants and the scorching sun. It was winter, and that meant dryness. All the animals would be at the waterhole. She stood, brown grass crunching beneath her paws, and prepared to go. Suddenly, a figure caught her eye. A stray antelope? she thought, eying it carefully. It was just lying there, unmoving. Maybe it's hurt, she thought, lowering her haunches and slowly prowling towards it. This should be easy prey. She swiftly darted towards it, creeping up from behind. Finally, without a sound, she leapt up and pounced. Vitani and the creature tussled a bit in the sand and dirt, raising a bit of dust, making it hard to see. Finally, she pinned it down, ready to kill it when the dust settled, revealing the creature. Vitani stared, struck dumb for several minutes. Finally, her mouth moved to barely whisper a name. "Nuka..?"

Yes, Yes, it's me! Now, c'mon! Get off of me, Vitani! " Nuka replied, his back acheing from the pounce. Although his sister had always done that when they were cubs, he was not one anymore. Nuka had grown a bit since the last time he saw her. His stature was a little less gangly, and he looked like a spitting image of scar. Vitani had grown as well. " So, how've you been doing? It's been about three years. Got a cub? I wanna be an uncle already! Unless that Kovu has a cub already. Where's mom?" Nuka asked. He loved his mommy, and wanted to see her most of all. After he saw her, they'd be bestfriends, taking over the pridelands. He's be happy, and then he'd kill Kovu, the worst brother a guy could have. " I can't wait to see her. I hope she's doing well. How are things over in the Outlands?" Nuka said, pushing his sister off of him and coming to his feet, revealing a much taller version of himself. " Yes, I know. I'm stunning. The beetles really help a guy grow. My mane...well I decided to keep it short.." he said, his voice rambling on and on. Nuka tended to ramble, but now he was doing it more than ever, not seeing his sister in what felt like ages.

Vitani Vitani was pushed off of Nuka and sat there in the dust, staring at him as he rambled on about everything as if it was normal to see your long-dead brother come back to life. Suddenly it all snapped into place; something in the atmosphere, seeing Nuka as his usual self after all this time jerked her into awareness: Nuka never died. That much was obvious. But the reason the Outlanders never found him at the logs wasn't some strange loss of direction; It was on purpose. Nuka never died. But he did run away. Not back to his pride, his mother, his family, but away. Somewhere else. And left them alone. Anger rose up within Vitani's chest like a hot balloon. She couldn't believe Nuka abandoned them...abandoned her. In their most desperate time. Rising, she cut Nuka off. "Nuka, nothing's the same." She looked him in the eye. "Nothing's the same anymore. After you took off," she spat those words in his face, "the lions from the Pridelands and Outlands arranged to fight. Kovu and Kiara interfered before anyone could fight. It was pointless. Absolutely pointless! All the Outlanders joined the Pridelanders. Except for our mother. Zira." Vitani lowered her head and said softly, "We were fighting at the edge of a cliff...She fell, Nuka." She looked up at him. "She's gone."

Nuka began to cry. "Mommy! Mommy's dead? Why? How! Mom! " he shouted, big tears rolling don his face. " All I wanted was some attention from Mom! And she died!" he said, becoming angry with himself. He slapped himself across the face. " Vitani, I ran away because I was miserable. Kovu! It's all his fault! With the princess," he spat, staring at his sister. " And you...You joined them? Vitani, how could you? Why'd you join them? The Outlanders..there has to be someone protecting our land. And Vitani...Why did you become a traitor? Why, Vitani? Why?" he asked, desperately crying out of confusion and sadness. " Vitani, I was in the jungle. I was working on myself. I was becoming a man. I was becoming fit to rule the Outlands," Nuka explained. Nuka sighed. " I wanted to make the Outlands perfect. For me...for you. I still want to. Vitani...Why?" he asked, sighing and crying. His face was wet with tears. His tail, once again covered in termites.

Vitani Vitani shook her head and sat in front of Nuka. She hated to see him cry; She knew he tried so hard to get Zira's attention when all she was concerned with was Kovu. She was a bit jealous too, at first, but she learned to accept it and she and Kovu were very close. Nuka...Not so much. She glanced at Nuka's tail and saw termites jumping from place to place. She shook her head. Big lion or not, he was still the brother he had always been. "Nuka, don't you see?" she sighed, laying down next to him. "There's no reason for there to be two seperate prides. We can be one pride. There's no difference between Outlanders and Pridelanders. We are one." She paused to lick her chest and looked back up at Nuka. "Nuka, please don't cry..." Even as she said this, she felt a small tear run down her cheek.

Nuka, whose face showed utter confusion and anger, could do or say anything to his shameful example of a sister. A traitor. A loser. "Vitani, what would mother think? You said those shameful words. You're a traitor. What would mother think?" Nuka said, solemnly. He kept his eyes to the ground.
His own sister had become a traitor. She became a believer! Nuka couldn't allow his sister to be like this. He glared at his sister. "This is for your own good," Nuka whispered, raising a paw and moving it towards Vitani's face.

Kovu, Kingbayx] From a distance, the young king could make out the shape of his... brother? No, Nuka? How could this be? Simba had accidentally killed him! He was dead! Kovu shook his head for a moment. Was he dreaming? His eyes closed very tightly, then he opened them again. Those bright emerald hues scanned the area, trying to avoid the shape... but of course, they landed on it anyway. Yes, it was Nuka, because his loyal sister, Vitani, was there. She looked pretty mad, Kovu noted. The light breeze of the Pridelands swept through his mane and fur. Peering up at the bright sapphire sky, he noticed the sunlight shining brighter. Simba and Mufasa, talking to him? It could be. Kovu felt like they were watching him, to see what he would do.
Then, suddenly, a violent breeze swept through, almost knocking him over. He had to close his eyes and bow his head. What were they saying...? Suddenly, he heard Nuka shout out. Kovu quickly peered up, and his eyes got wide. He watched as his sister made her point, by saying the prides were better as one. Nuka, he couldn't believe it. Kovu silently watched as Nuka raised his paw, ready to strike Vitani....
"NO!" Kovu growled loudly, taking a few large steps. Afterwards, he crouched, then leaped forward, slamming his paws onto Nuka. His claws extracted , and he started to flip Nuka over and over, away from Vitani. Nobody ever tries to hurt his older sister! After they, together, were 50 yards away from her, he violently pinned Nuka down to the ground, snarling in his disgusting termite face.
"Don't ever try to hurt Vitani! You should know better...!" The snarling king Kovu was angry, practically livid at Nuka. He wanted to rip off his face, and slash out his eyes, but Kovu wouldn't. He couldn't. This was his older brother. Yet, if he hurt Vitani, Kiara, Valerius or Riora, he would kill him... No doubt about it. Those emerald orbs shined brightly, showing the fiery anger.

Nuka was violently pinned down by, of course, his brother. He spat out dirt, and awkwardly grinned at him. "Well, lookie here. I was trying to smack some sense into her. You, well you don't matter. Mommy's gone. And she mattered," Nuka whispered, glaring at his brother.
Nuka hopped up, snarling. He wanted to kill his brother, right then and there. "You defied my father's wants. How dare you! " he roared, no longer sounding like a kitten. In fact, it was quite intimidating. Nuka watched Kovu as he cirlced him. (Sorry for Shortness. Writer's Block)

Vitani Vitani watched in growing horror as the scene before her began to bloom into a fight. She watched as Kovu bowled Nuka over and pinned him down, spitting into his face. Suddenly, Nuka leapt up from under Kovu and they began to circle each other, their eyes full of hate, seeming to want to rip each other to shreds. They probably did. She couldn't stand to see them like this. It was true they fought as siblings, but it was never this intense. She watched as they circled nearer. Vitani bunched her muscles and leapt, landing in the center of Nuka and Kovu's circle. "Stop!"They both froze, eyes glued to their sister that had leapt so unexpectedly into the middle of their fight. No one moved for a while, then Vitani spoke. She looked at Nuka. "Nuka, who was Scar?" She stared into his eyes. He didn't answer. After a few seconds, she continued. "He was jealous of Simba and turned on his own family, his own brother! That's how this all started! How can you be loyal to that, Nuka?!" She looked at them both. "You're brothers! You grew up together! What happened?" She looked sadly at both of her brothers, the brothers she had grown up with and known since she was a cub. "What happened...?"

NUKIE, NUKE, NUKA Nuka was shocked at his sister's words. She knew Scar was his father. She knew everything about Nuka. And Nuka couldn't believe it.
"Vitani! You know who Scar is. He's my daddy, and he basically raised me," Nuka mumbled, words slipping off his tounge like bullets. He was hurt, hurt bad. His eyes, once again filled with tears. Orphaned. Forever.
"Vitani, I can't believe you'd be this cruel to me. Me! Your older brother! Why would you say that about Scar? Your idol as a child? My father? Kovu's mentor? I just can't believe it. Did you forget?" Nuka asked, getting louder with each word. His heart, broken in two. Nuka's ears went back onto his face as he hung his head, low.
"Mommy's turning in her grave, Vitani. She ought to be as well. Kovu, King of the Pridelands and you....a lioness. I can't believe you two. Mommy trusted us! She trusted you! And now ," Nuka began, tears once again falling onto the grass and dirt below him. " We've broken our promises. Look, Mommy! We're being bad children! I'm sorry," Nuka shouted unto the heavens. He could almost feel his mother's angry presence now, screaming at all of them for being bad children. Screaming, especially, at Nuka. His head hung low as he mumbled, thought about what was going on. His eyes, red with anger and disappointment. " We're bad children."

Kovu, Kingbabyx] When Nuka snapped back at him, Kovu got angrier. How dare he snap at him. This was because Nuka was jealous. Kovu got all the attention from mother, and Nuka got none. Kovu was "the chosen one" and Nuka wasn't in any part of that. Ha! Jealousy ruined the brotherhood relationship between the two. Kovu growled lowly, and his hard emerald eyes watched as Nuka circled him, now actually putting up a fight. For once. Since Nuka was a little coward through the king's cubhood.
The young lion was about to strike on Nuka, and slash his face into tiny pieces. However, his older sister jumped inbetween them. Really? Kovu's snarling stopped, and his head popped up, which meant he was very surprised. Those once hard, angry eyes melted at Vitani's words. His sister was wise, and yet so young. He adored the meaning. She understood the story of Scar, and he appreciated this. Kovu was starting to decide to back down, for Vitani. His muscles were starting to loosen the tension, but then oh so mighty Nuka started up again. Kovu's fur bristled, and his mane ruffled in the wind. His hind legs bunched down, and the hatred that Kovu had for Nuka was starting to surface.
Kovu took very loud paw steps towards his older brother. Snarling, his emerald eyes turned soft to hard, and cold again. The snarling started, and Kovu walked right in front of Nuka, not caring if they fought anymore. His tone of voice was threatening, and he was dead serious. "Mother thought you weren't good enough... I was Scar's choice, and I didn't want to be. Vitani's right. Scar was cruel, and he killed his own brother because of his jealousy. Do you want to be like that, Nuka?" Kovu's snarling ceased, and he stood tall and strong once more, like a king. He waited for a few moments, then continued. "We're not bad children, Nuka... Stop believing you have to do everything Mother wanted." After saying those words, he took a few paw-steps back, still facing him. Still standing tall, and with the muscles still tense, his eyesight switched between his older sister Vitani and his termite of a brother Nuka. He dared Nuka to start a fight, he dared him to stand up to him.

Nuka, by now, was tired of his bother's senseless rambling. He could care less if Kovu was king. He'd always be younger, right? But Nuka couldn't hold that anger in any longer. His eyebrows were so slanted, they almost looked stitched incorrectly.
"Kovu, you have forgotten. Kiara and her "beauty" have distracted you from how you were raised. You were raised to be obedient and respectful to your elders. You were taught to be kind to family, and stay clear of all others. But now..now you're nothing ," he mumbled, staring at the ground. He was no longer guilty for all those years of hate he put into Kovu. Nuka understood now. " You have no respect for my father. Or your mentor, for that matter. You know nothing about me. You don't even know why you were chosen. I do. You're about as clueless as fifteen blonde lions trying to catch a crab. So, I suggest you listen to me, dearest baby brother." Nuka snarled those last words, having them come off his tounge like venom. He stared deeply into Kovu's eyes and knew what he really was. A coward. All the Pridelanders were cowards, for that matter. Most of them were those who had broken off from the Outlanders and stole their land. Nuka knew, for he witnessed the whole thing. Nuka examined his brother. "And you're right. We're not bad children. You are. Vitani followed you, thinking I was dead. I knew you would eventually brainwash her into a Pridelander. Remember who exiled you? Exactly," he said, half yelling at the end of his explanation. After these words, Nuka sat parallell to his brother and smirked. " And there's nothing you can do to fix your past. Only cowards go back to where they were banned from."

Valerius had decided to go to the hunting grounds, hoping to get lucky and be able to watch a lioness or two to learn more. He crouched down low when he heard lions arguing. He peeked up above the tall grass from his low-to-the-ground position and saw Kovu and Vitani there, as well as another lion. Who was this stranger?
He was close enough to hear the strange lion's last words. "And there's nothing you can do to fix your past. Only cowards go back to where they were banned from."
He knew that would really piss off Kovu, but he didn't care. This lion obviously knew Kovu well, from his younger years. Who could he be? He'd never heard of a lion fitting this ones description. He wasn't an Outlander, because Teferi and Tau were already male outlanders and most likely wouldn't stand for another male. He definitely wasn't a Pridelander.
Valerius was intrigued. Unlike how he had reacted to Slythor, he felt no enmity towards this lion, but he had no idea why. He jumped up and quickly ran towards the group, bristling at the angry and tense atmosphere.
"Who are you?" he asked the unknown lion. "And what are you doing here?"
He knew Kovu would not be happy about him intruding, but he honestly couldn't care less. His curiosity frequently got the better of him in this way.
